چکیده

To improve organizational communication, this study identified the primary targets of sexual harassment in Latin America as a point of departure in addressing how managers can focus on strategic communication designed to deter future harassment. Consequently, this study reported the antecedent socio-cultural factors (i.e., marital status, age, education, race and sex) associated with employee targets of sexual harassment based on power relationships previously indicated in US studies and three Latin American countries: Argentina, Brazil, and Chile. Differences in perceptions of sexual harassment are discussed in terms of the sociocultural perspective and cultural differences in collectivism, power distance, masculinity, and uncertainty avoidance between past findings in the US and Argentina, Brazil, and Chile.
